(R)eady, set…. Mo!

It’s easy for us all to conceptualise the impact of a virus spreading voraciously, and negatively; we’ve been there, done that.

R rates are not something we thought we’d use in life after we dropped maths after GCSE, however during the lockdowns we watched that number like a hawk circling it’s prey, willing it to slow enough for us to pounce out of our homes and into ‘old-normal’ life again.

We all now have the statistical prowess of a Maths graduate, so how about we ponder on the potential for good it could have? Mo Gowdat, the ex-Chief Business Officer of Google [X] beautifully illustrates this with his One Billion Happy mission.

Mo started his joy-spreading quest of #onebillionhappy following the sudden death of his son Ali, who was an oracle of peace. With a mission to enable one Billion to feel and share happiness ripples in a world of intangible raging seas of negativity that the news shows, Mo is showing how we can spread a virus of joy, and push the R rate sky high like we can.

Happiness is not positivity all the time, that’s toxic. Happiness a feeling just beyond pain, uncertainty and challenges that require constant work.

I am on mission to make people happier at work by activating, expanding, and rising with their potential at work.

Happier people create better products and services to benefit communities. When good energy is imbued into those solutions created through work, customers, employees, the business, and humanity benefit.
